Refining process mainly includes four steps of degumming, deacidification, decolorization, and deodorization.

Cooking oil refining process

Degumming: Add food-grade phosphoric acid to crude oil to convert non-hydratable phospholipids into hydratable phospholipids, add water to make colloids enter the water phase to precipitate and remove.

Deacidification: The degummed oil is added with food-grade alkali for acid-base neutralization reaction, and then removed by heating and natural sedimentation.

Decolorization: When the oil is heated to a certain temperature, a certain amount of activated clay and activated carbon are added to the neutralized oil to physically adsorb the pigment in the oil.

Deodorization: Evaporate unpleasant odors and moisture in a high-temperature vacuum environment to obtain high-quality refined oil.
